Time to dig out the hats and boots….you can tell autumn is just around the corner. This navy wide-brimmed hat is from Asos and the black suede ankle boots are from Office – they have a serious platform and wedge heel but are surprisingly comfortable (although cobbles are a bit tricky!) The bronze trench coat is by Danish label Philosophy Blues – another TK Maxx bargain. I added a splash of colour with the three-strand black and turquoise necklace which I made myself – one of several jewellery projects which had been in my tool box waiting to be finished.
Today’s outfit has a slightly 70’s feel to it. The flared trousers are from Asos and the vest from Zara. I bought the H&M chunky wooden necklace a few years ago and I always get compliments whenever I wear it. I made the turquoise and gold bead bracelet myself by unpicking necklaces I bought in charity shops. It adds a bit of colour to a neutral outfit and introduces a third colour. The mustard leather court shoes were an impulse sale buy one lunchtime several years ago from New Look and I’d never worn them before (I’d actually forgotten all about them!) but I think they’ll get a bit more use from now on.
Top: Alice by Temperley, cropped trousers: Asos, shoes: Carvela, bag: Ri2K
My first post! Hurrah! It’s always difficult to know what to wear at this time of year when it’s still warm but all the gorgeous new A/W collections are out there to tempt us. This green top is Alice by Temperley, and was a sale bargain from the Outnet. I love the colour….great for redheads. The cropped trousers are from Asos (I have to admit that the fabric is a little itchy!) and the shoes are Carvela from Kurt Geiger…..another sale bargain from last winter’s sale. The sunglasses by Just Cavalli are very comfortable and go with so much in my wardrobe. My much-used Ri2K bag finishes the look, and holds all my stuff!
