You might recognise the location of these photos…it’s the same place as last week’s Style With a Smile link up post. Yes, we were back at our local gastro pub…the new vegan menu is a big hit with me! But we weren’t there to celebrate our wedding anniversary again…my dad came over from France to stay with friends and came to see us at the weekend. Now, this pub serves the most magnificent pies, in fact it’s renowned locally for them. The steak and ale pie made quite an impression on my dad when we took him there before and he was keen to go back. No complaints from me!
When I ordered the mixed wrap dress I wore in last Tuesday’s link up post, I also added these wide leg diagonal stripe trousers to my shopping basket.
It was a really hot day (we’ve had some unusually hot and humid weather lately) so I needed an outfit to keep me cool. When I ordered the mixed wrap dress I wore in last Tuesday’s link up post, I also added these wide leg diagonal stripe trousers to my shopping basket. They’re a lovely lightweight material, and they don’t crease. The only slight negative is the lack of stretch in the elasticated waistband which makes it difficult to get them over my thighs. I have the same problem with my metallic Zara culottes. Sizing up sometimes means the legs are too voluminous, so a compromise must be made. For size reference these striped trousers are a size medium.
SHOP THE LOOK
This cute straw crab bag is also a new purchase. Sadly it’s now sold out online but I have seen some in a couple of Topshop stores. It’s big enough to hold all of my essentials, plus it’s really light. I love having both a shoulder strap and handles. Straw bags are everywhere at the moment and there are plenty of fun designs in the shops 🙂
