Whenever I have an occasion to dress up I often opt for a lace dress. I have several in different colours, including the red one I wore for a family wedding back in March, and another black one that I wore for New Year’s Eve. Those are both figure hugging, so I was really happy to add an A-line style dress to my wardrobe.
This Eva Trends dress has very flattering three quarter length sleeves and a high neckline that I prefer lately. I was unsure what size to order, but after some help from the team at Eva Trends I settled on a small, which fits really well. I have the usual issue with the waistband sitting a bit too high due to my long torso, but I have that with every dress in this style. To get around this problem I always add a belt to define my true waistline. Pairing this black lace dress with red accessories was a no-brainer; I love the contrast…and of course red is my favourite colour! Last week one of my colleagues asked me if red is my favourite colour because I wear it a lot 🙂 Of course, metallics or leopard print would also look great with this dress.
The shoes and belt are really old, but they serve me well with so many outfits. The red clutch is actually the Zara multiway bag which I’ve worn as a beltbag and with the shoulder strap before. I love having versatile items in my wardrobe that I can wear different ways. My jewellery is from two of my favourite brands: Ottoman Hands and Azuni – their pieces are beautiful and affordable.
I have a couple more dresses from Eva Trends to share with you over the coming weeks…the location for those photos will be a bit more exotic than my back garden 😉 If you love this dress (or anything else on the Eva Trends website) you can get a 10% discount on your entire order with the code EP10!
