Happy Monday! I hope you all had a great weekend! For this month’s Stylish Monday link up collaboration we’re styling coloured denim for Spring. And for the first time this year it has actually felt like Spring over the last few days. There’s a little bit of warmth in the sun and the days are getting longer 🙂

Coloured denim is a great way to brighten up your outfit without compromising on comfort

I wear jeans almost all of the time when I’m not working – usually a pair of blue skinnies. But for a more dressed up look I wear coated black jeans that look like leather. Coloured denim is a great way to brighten up your outfit without compromising on comfort. I bought these red skinny jeans on eBay a few years ago and have previously worn them with a tweed jacket and a pink frilled top. I’m always looking for ways to style my clothes differently in an effort to wear them more, so I’ve chosen the rather bold combination of red and leopard print this time. (You may also notice that this is the second time I’ve worn the black sleeveless trench coat since I bought it a few weeks ago.)

There are so many different incarnations of leopard print that sometimes it’s hard to find accessories that match, but my Skinny Dip bag and shoes are almost identical in colourway and pattern. I don’t care if wearing matching shoes and bag is still considered a bit naff…you can never have too much leopard print in my opinion! My top is a slightly lighter shade but not so much that it jars with the shoes and bag. And keeping it all co-ordinated, I added my red tassel earrings to mirror the red jeans.

  2. I just love colored denim and am looking forward to checking out the other bloggers in your Stylish Monday post. Sometimes it seems like a challenge to find *when you’re looking for it*, especially with pants. Other times I find it in lots of places!

  4. Emma I think red was MADE for pairing with leopard and black… they look so good together. Amazing how leopard has become such a staple in our wardrobes these days – a bit like denim! Love how you pulled it all together with the fabulous red earrings too 😀
