This last week has been fun-filled and very busy! Isobel turned 10 last Wednesday and we had a little afternoon tea party after school. Then on Sunday she had a Quasar party with friends which they all loved. This week will be a quiter one before a busy week at work…and then a trip to France 🙂
As it was Isobel’s special day when I took these outfit photos I thought it fitting that she should join me – complete with birthday present roller blades! She also wanted to show off her fabulous new holographic bag and necklace that were gifts from her friends. (I’ve been warned not to “borrow” them!)
My outfit consists mainly of old pieces, except for the top which is new. I bought it at Marks and Spencer in the sale last week, reduced to just £13. It’s also available in a striped version which I’m tempted to go back and get too! It’s so light and airy, making it ideal for holidays. It would look lovely with a white maxi skirt and a floppy sunhat. On this occasion I paired the gold twist top and black culottes together to create a more dressy look.
My little fashionista had a hand in this outfit; I’d already picked out some gold sunglasses but she wasn’t convinced they were the right ones for this look. So she went through my entire collection and chose these Anna Dello Russo for H&M embellished shades. She then picked the fabric bird print bag too. I have to admit that she’s often right and I frequently ask for her opinion.
