Welcome to the latest installment in our #StylishMonday series! This month we’re showing you how we style Spring. While I don’t consider myself a slave to fashion, I do love to keep up with what’s on trend each season. Certain themes such as floral prints and pastels are virtually guaranteed to feature every Spring/Summer, but others are a little more unexpected.
This is actually the third outfit I’ve worn recently featuring neon…
Until a couple of months ago I didn’t think I’d be wearing neon hues again – I remember wearing odd neon-coloured socks as a child in the 80s! But I’ve learned to never say never when it comes to fashion. Even though some trends might make me baulk at first, there’s almost always a way to work it into your own style. This is actually the third outfit I’ve worn recently featuring neon; I wore this pink jumper with a jacket for a smart casual look . I also have this jumper in yellow which I wore with pink trousers for the Match Made in Seven neon theme.
Leopard was everywhere over the Winter…but with the changing season, zebra print seems to be the animal print of the moment.
I chose to team it with another trend that we’re seeing a lot of this seaon: zebra print. Leopard was everywhere over the Winter, and snakeprint has been quite popular too, but with the changing season, zebra print seems to be the animal print of the moment. I got really lucky with this skirt, finding it in Debenhams reduced to £10.50. But as I had a voucher I only paid £7.50…a fantastic bargain!
Don’t let the bright blue sky fool you – it was a chilly day, so I needed thick tights and long boots. Rather than a black coat, I opted for a dark pink one to keep the outfit bright and cheerful. My aubergine Jennifer Hamley Model KT bag compliments the pink tones.
What’s your favourite Spring trend? Have you added any zebra print or neon to your wardrobe?
