Leopard Print Faux Fur Jacket + Link Up

Leopard Print Faux Fur Jacket

The weather has turned rather cold lately so I’ve been layering up and wearing my warmest clothes. A faux fur coat is perfect for beating the Winter chills while staying stylish. I have a few furry coats (my latest addition was the bright red one) but I’ll always have a soft spot for leopard print. It lifts a plain black outfit in one fell swoop.

I bought this leopard print faux fur jacket from eBay a couple of years ago. It doesn’t have a label so I’ve no idea what the brand is, but it’s well-made and thick enough to keep me warm on a cold day. Just to make sure, I wore a turtle neck jumper over a vest, while my photographer (aka husband) shivered in his T-shirt. That’s dedication. Or stupidity, you can decide πŸ˜‰

I’m wearing high neck sweaters a lot lately – pair one with a faux fur coat and you don’t need a scarf. To break up the expanse of black I chose a long owl necklace. The wide brim hat keeps my hair out of my eyes and protects my face from the drizzly rain.

The low wedge heel of these boots adds just enough height to elongate my legs without putting any pressure on the balls of my feet.

The only thing new in this outfit is the boots. I had a pair of black wedge boots years ago that I literally wore to death. The rubber soles split and couldn’t be mended. I’ve been looking for a suitable replacement ever since. I happened to spot these from Cara massively reduced at Cocosa. In fact I “may” have ordered more than one pair πŸ˜‰ They really couldn’t be any more comfortable, it’s like wearing slippers. The low wedge heel of these boots adds just enough height to elongate my legs without putting any pressure on the balls of my feet. The toes and heels of the boots are shiny while the rest of the boots are a suede finish. Quite an unusual design.

My bag is actually a backpack that has detachable straps so you can carry it as a top handle bag. It’s from one of my favourite brands, Mila Blu. I have two other bags from this brand which I’ve featured many times before on the blog. I use my red and black bags all the time for work. They are very good quality and not expensive if you buy them from discount sites as I did. I’ve had some amazing bargains (including my panther ring) from Brand Alley, Secret Sales and Cocosa. If you want to sign up use this link for Secret Sales and this link for Brand Alley and we both get a Β£10 voucher…it’s a win-win deal!

How are you staying cosy during the cold weather? Did you bag any Black Friday bargains? It’s link up day so scroll down to add your outfits!

What a cute leopard coat! I’ve been eyeing leopard print jackets for a while now but haven’t dared take the plunge yet. Yours looks great, though, that I might reconsider…

First thing I thought was: oh no, don’t tell that was thrifted coat for a insanely amount! And yes! Again such a fantastic bargain! Also love the necklace. So funny that Shelbee and I also talk about our photographer hubby’s and what they have to endure!

Emma, this ensemble is fabulous. I also adore a faux fur coat and I have one like yours that I bought nearly 30 years ago. Unfortunately, I don’t get many chances to wear it because the weather where I live is still on the warm side. So much so, it is I who suffers in the heat during photo shoots from being overdressed rather than my photographer from being underdressed. Thank you for sharing your styling ideas and for the link up.

Such a great winter look! Swooning over your leopard coat. I have one long leopard print coat but would love a shorter faux fur one like this.

I really love the leopard coat – I’m convinced leopard pretty much goes with anything, and it’s so nice to have a standout winter coat that breaks up the monotony of black.
