Leopard print pussy bow blouse and coated skinny jeans

Hello everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas Day! I had a relaxing day at home with the family, inlcuding my mum and mother-in-law. Isobel woke us up at 6am so I had to have a couple of little naps throughout the day! After a big sleep last night I think I’m just about recovered from the excitement and rushing around. I did a five-hour round trip on Christmas Eve to fetch my mum, so I was in need of a lazy day.

Even though I already have a pair of black coated skinny jeans…I figured it wouldn’t hurt to have a back up pair.

Today I’m sharing a couple of recent purchases from Silkfred…Christmas presents to myself 😉 I can’t even remember why I visited the website, but I was instantly drawn to this leopard print pussy bow blouse and coated skinny jeans. Even though I already have a pair of black coated skinny jeans from Mango, I love them so much that I figured it wouldn’t hurt to have a back up pair. These from Frontrow did not disappoint; the fit is great, and they’re a bit shinier than my Mango jeans so they feel dressier. They have just the right amount of stretch and the length is spot on for me…I don’t like having to roll them up with heels.

I did wonder if this top might be a bit too voluminous, but the elasticated waist and cuffs give it definition…and the best thing is it doesn’t crease.

Pussy bow blouses seem to be quite popular at the moment, but I’ve long been a fan of them. They look really elegant and work well with both pencil skirts and jeans. I did wonder if this top might be a bit too voluminous, but the elasticated waist and cuffs give it definition…and the best thing is it doesn’t crease. It looked freshly ironed straight out of the parcel. I chose leopard print heels to match the blouse and a red clutch (which is actually the Zara multiway bag) for a dash of colour.

Christmas gift earrings from one of my favourite jewellery brands

I added my bold lion doorknocker ring and new earrings from Ottoman Hands, which were a Christmas gift from my husband ( I chose them myself). Ottoman Hands is one of my favourite jewellery brands and I have quite a few pieces in my collection now. I’m not sure if I was wearing them correctly though because they kept spinning around so that the amethyst was facing inwards. I’ll have to experiment with them to get it right!

This week’s Style With a Smile link up is a day later than usual with yesterday being Christmas Day. Next week’s will also be on Wednesday as it’s New Year’s Day. Monday is the Style Not Age collective’s last collaboration of the year…it’s going to be a good one!

What did Santa bring you? Did you get lots of lovely gifts?
