Navy and White Striped Jacket With Red Accents

Navy and White Striped Jacket With Red Accents

You may have already noticed that I’m a huge fan of stripes, so adding a navy and white striped jacket to my wardrobe was long overdue. Navy, white and red is one of my favourite colour combinations; it’s classic and never goes out of fashion…just like Coco Chanel on my t-shirt! With the navy trousers, white top and navy and white striped jacket with red accents I could almost enlist in the Marine Nationale. I’m not sure the heels would be allowed though!

I find light layers are the way to go this time of year when the temperature can fluctuate rapidly.

The collarless open style and three-quarter length sleeves of the jacket give it a casual twist, plus it’s a lightweight fabric which makes it a great transitional piece. I find light layers are the way to go this time of year when the temperature can fluctuate rapidly. Factor in office air con and sitting in a hot car on the commute, and you can go from chilly to sweltering hot in a heartbeat!

What I like most about this colour combination is that you can play around with the proportions; I could have worn my red trousers with navy shoes and bag. Wide leg pants paired with white tennis shoes creates an effortlessly chic casual look, and would look great topped off with this jacket. If I was brave enough I could wear white jeans, but I’m too much of a muck magnet for that option! Classic navy and white stripes present so many options, it’s no wonder they’re always in style.

Are you a fan of stripes too? Let me know your favourite way to wear them in the comments or tweet me @thestylesplash

  9. Can’t go wrong with a striped jacket and it looks fab with the tee. And yes, so versatile and perfect too for a spot of pattern mixing if you fancied.
