November Rain Poncho

April 14, 2017

november-rain-ponchoI do love Spring time…daffodils, blossom and lighter evenings make me feel happier and more energised. What I’m not so keen on though is April showers. In the North West, rain and wind seem to go together hand in hand, which makes umbrellas fairly useless. I think I’ve broken half a dozen brollies in the last couple of years. Thankfully I’ve found a solution: the November Rain poncho.

November Rain ponchos are available in three designs and come in a matching pouch so you can fold it away neatly and compactly.

The November Rain poncho is waterproof (as opposed to rain resistant) meaning it keeps you completely dry. You can go about your day fully protected from the rain without the hassle of holding an umbrella. Each poncho has a detachable hood, front pocket, strengthened snaps and zipper, and reinforced stitching. The snap fasteners form a sleeve, or you can simply leave them unfastened. November Rain ponchos are available in three designs – I’m wearing the Oriental Bird pattern. They come in a matching pouch so you can fold it away neatly and compactly. You can iron the ponchos print side up (not the reverse as this will damage it) provided you move the iron continuously. Mine wasn’t too wrinkled when I took it out so I didn’t bother ironing it.

Designed in Australia, November Rain ponchos are printed using ecologically sound waterless printing methods and quality crafted with heat sealed seams. The company pledges 10% of revenue towards water projects to improve situations in developing countries. The proceeds help to provide clean drinking water and fund irrigation projects for crops in areas where water can be the main limiting factor for people being able to put food on the table.

The weather was only too willing to co-operate for this photo shoot by raining right on cue. I stayed nice and dry while my husband got wet taking the photos! We did get a few shots of what I’m wearing underneath before it really poured down. The ponchos cost Β£49 or $59, and are available via Amazon. It may sound a little expensive for a rain poncho but considering the quality and how much I’ve spent on umbrellas that have only lasted a few months I think it’s a wise investment.

How do you keep dry when April showers threaten to ruin your outfit? Would you wear a rain poncho? Let me know in the comments!

I love how this is neatly packed away. Perfect to store in the car. This would be great for me when I’m trawling the markets that are packed even when it rains. Will save me worrying about poking someone’s eye out with my brolly! Looks good on too xx
