Statement sleeves are currently back in the spotlight, but for me they never went away. I’ve always loved a bit of arm drama (or should that be drarma?). Anyway, encouraged by the milder weather I treated myself to this pretty pink top with sheer sleeves. Big sleeves often make it difficult to wear a coat over them but these organza puff sleeves are soft and thin so they easily fit under a top layer. I have a cropped grey faux fur jacket that would work well as a dressier option, but for a more everyday look I could add a bomber jacket, or maybe a pink denim jacket…I’ve been inspired by this month’s Stylish Monday coloured denim theme!
I played around pairing different trousers with this top, but decided to go with a tried and tested colour combination: pink and grey. I’ve previously worn these silvery grey trousers with a hot pink top, but I think I prefer this soft blush hue with them. Pink organza puff sleeves make quite a statement, but you could wear a top like this with jeans and trainers for a more casual look. My embellished shoes add an extra feminine touch; the low block heel makes them appropriate for daytime – in fact they would be ideal for a wedding.
It was pure coincidence that my grey Modalu bag had a pink faux fur charm attached to it. It’s almost the exact same shade as my top! I completed the look with rose quartz and pearl jewellery and pink sunglasses. I’m ready for Spring!
