I’m counting down the days to my holiday now, I can’t wait to relax in the sunshine. I, ahem, may have mentioned it once or twice before, but the weather has been spectacularly crap this summer – I actually put a thick jumper on yesterday! Today was warmer and sunnier, although I was at work all day so didn’t see much of it. It was just light enough to take these photos when I got home.
My work outfit of choice is almost always a trouser suit, usually a brightly coloured one. This neon lime and pink combination prompted a few comments, especially the pearl embellished sleeves on the top. Within five minutes of arriving a man came up to me and said my outfit was “a masterclass in maximalism”. Little did he know that this is quite tame for me!
In my previous post I’m wearing the same top in black, both of which are from my favourite shop in Funchal. I’ll be making a beeline for it next week to see what goodies they have waiting for me! I’ve bought a new suitcase and for the first time I’m trying compression packing cubes. I’ve heard good things about them so I’ll let you know how I get on with them. You know I’m not a capsule wardrobe kinda person, but I’m trying really hard to streamline my packing this time. Well, I’ve got to leave room for some shopping!
I’ve decided to permanently move the link up post to Wednesdays, mainly because twice a month I post as part of a group on Mondays. Moving the link up to the middle of the week gives me more time to put the post together and spread things out. Lately I seem to posting a day later than planned anyway so I may as well make life easier for myself!

Your colleagues must be thrilled to see what you are wearing that day! Those colours make everyone happy. Those are the colours of a very popular Dutch band in the 80s! They called, Doe Maar, Google it. Wouldn’t it be great to feel the sun more then just a few hours!
