Happy Sunday! As yesterday was my birthday I thought I’d treat you all to some very unflattering birthday bloopers for this week’s Sunday Reflections link up post 😉 I’m spending the week at my Dad’s in Britanny, but I actually spent most of my birthday in the car as we flew from Exeter. You may well wonder why we flew from Devon when we live in Cheshire…well, the flights were so much cheaper than the flights from East Midlands…hundreds of pounds cheaper in fact. So we (and millions of others) hit the motorway and headed south on the first day of the school Summer break…mmm…I don’t think we’ll be doing that again!
Anyway, it was all worth it because we’re by the sea and the weather is lovely. I slept better than I have in ages and woke up at 10.45am! Isobel has her French playmate for the week and we’ve spent the afternoon at the beach 🙂 I think a week of fresh air and plenty of sleep will do me the world of good. So while I kick back with a nice glass of red I’ll let you have a good laugh at these birthday bloopers! Enjoy!
Heels sinking into the grass is a common blogger’s problem!
My photographer (aka the husband) obviously said something very funny, and probably very rude! It happens a lot!
I’m easily distracted by wildlife – in this case a little robin who came to have a look at what we were doing. We managed to get a photo of him which I included in the post.

Trying to take photos on a bridge near my place of work when a storm is whipping up was not a good idea! The wind blowing my dress up certainly gave any onlookers some entertainment!
It may look like I’m touting for loose change, but actually giving Isobel my hat to hold. She’s proved to be such a good little assistant that I’ve promoted her to trainee photographer.
Shooting in bright sunlight is never a good idea, but sometimes needs must. It’s not very flattering, but it does produce some funny photos.
Am I about to sneeze or has someone said something smutty? Hmmm…I wonder!
Sometimes the relationship between blogger and photographer becomes a little, ahem, strained…leading to moments like this.
My husband said this furry rainbow clutch looks like a merkin (downstairs toupee) so I thought I’d humour him! Turns out they’re back in fashion, so maybe he’s more in touch with style trends than I gave him credit for!

Hilarious! Thanks for sharing. It’s so funny what comes out when one isn’t ready yet for the photos or thinks it’s done, but the photographer takes another photo.
