This blue and white striped long shirt dress is another one from my recent Zara haul. I ordered it at the same time as the green dress, and the red and blue floral print dress. Oddly I had to exchange it for the next size up; usually I take a medium in Zara but I needed the large in this dress because the fit across the bust isn’t very generous. Sometimes Zara sizing really baffles me. This dress first caught my eye when saw it on a friend of Greetje’s, who kindly told me where it was from. Sadly it’s now sold out, but I’ve linked to some similar ones.
I wanted a comfortable outfit that I can wear for shopping and walking around. My feet have been quite painful lately, especially my left big toe (the bunion certainly doesn’t help). I’m starting to think I may have arthritis so I need sensible shoes with plenty of support. Luckily Jake Shoes recently sent me these gorgeous FitFlops and now my feet are on cloud nine!
I have a few other pairs of FitFlops, including some boots which I live in during the Winter. I swear that it shows on my face when my feet are happy…being able to walk for miles without my feet hurting is very liberating. They say you should have a comfortable bed and shoes because you spend most of the time either on your feet or asleep. Although working in a newsroom and on the blog at home means I spend a fair amount of time sitting on my derriere. Good job I have a very comfy sofa too then ๐
I chose these metallic blush FitFlops because they will go with just about everything. My other pairs are not so fancy, so it’s great to have a more dressy version. Because this outfit is for wearing out and about, shopping etc, I opted for a big straw shopper bag that my mum gave to me. It’s from Joules and is quite a few years old, but I’ve linked to some similar options in the widget.

I bought these earrings in the Azuni sale last week, along with a bracelet and necklace which I’ll feature in an upcoming post. They are scarab beetles with lapis lazuli…very Egyptian!

Love the dress on you ! I have thought about this dress myself, I mentioend on twitter, this and the red /blue floral were some of my favorites from this season. The style and fit is fab on you! The white feathers are such a pretty print against the blue. My mom during her visit showed me her FitFlops, they look comfy! I like the jewels on yours. I cant wear anything between my toes, as I get blisters, but I know what you mean about happy feet!
