The shirt is such a versatile item, yet until now one I’d overlooked it. That’s mainly because finding one that’s a good fit can be almost as time consuming as discovering the perfect jeans. When I saw this green Mary Portas oversized shirt in the House of Fraser sale reduced from £95 to £25 I knew I’d found a bargain. Having bought a skirt from the range a while ago, which I absolutely love, I knew I wouldn’t be disappointed.
Mary champions good quality clothes which are easy to wear and aimed at busy women who don’t have time to spend faffing around putting outfits together. She claims to get dressed in the mornings in just ten minutes…I wish I could say the same!
The shirt is made of polyester but it feels almost as soft as silk. As it’s a slouchy fit the sizing is generous making it ideal to wear loose over jeans. I’ve worn it here buttoned up with a bib-style necklace over the top and a simple black pencil skirt. It’s also available in turquoise, pink and orange so I might have to buy it in another colour too! When I find an item of clothing that I love I try to buy it in another colour too. This skirt is an example of that – I also bought it in red! I like to take advantage of the sales 😉
