Orange Androgyny: Oversized Jacket and Skinny Jeans, Dune leopard print clutch

Summer seems to have beaten a retreat for a while (hopefully not for too long though!). For now it’s back to boots and a jacket. I picked up this burnt orange slouchy jacket in the Marks and Spencer sale. It’s a size too big but I don’t mind that as it gives it an androgynous look. Pairing the oversized jacket and black skinny jeans together balances out the proportions. Plus, it creates a smart casual outfit that looks pulled together.

A word of warning: don’t attempt to walk on cobbles in platforms! I almost fell over and turned my ankle.

The leopard print clutch (from Dune) gives the outfit a feminine touch, while the black ankle boots (also from Dune) add an edgy element. The high hidden platform in the boots adds a few extra inches to my 5’7″ frame, but they aren’t the easiest to walk in. A word of warning: don’t attempt to walk on cobbles in platforms! I almost fell over and turned my ankle. My husband thought it was hilarious. How we suffer in the name of fashion! Maybe next time I’ll choose flat shoes or trainers instead!
