This orange suit is the gift that keeps on giving; I just never tire of finding different ways to wear it. I’ve already featured the trousers four times before – including once with the jacket. As I mentioned in that post, although the trousers and jacket are a suit, I bought them on eBay as separates. (I zoomed in on the fabric and buttons to make sure they matched!) I’ve previously paired the trousers with a floral print vintage shirt, blue western-style vintage shirt and a bright orange vintage 80s top. Today, I’m giving a new top from The Chain Designs its blog debut. I love how this orange suit and retro print top combine all the spicy shades of saffron, turmeric and cinnamon.
You may remember a crocheted vest from The Chain Designs that I wore for January’s Stylish Monday post. I discovered the brand on Instagram about a year ago and instantly fell in love with the retro clothes and accessories. This top is from the latest collection featuring the most amazing retro prints and designs. Honestly, I could buy it all if funds permitted. I had a difficult time choosing just one item – I was very tempted to buy the matching trousers but exercised restraint for once in my life! However, I may cave in and buy them as a Christmas present to myself (I’m not the only who does that am I?).
SHOP THE LOOK
The Sharon high neck top in Boogie Stripes print is beautifully soft and stretchy. I love the groovy pattern and flared sleeves. It’s also available in other prints and as a short sleeve version. The Chain Designs are absolutely killing it with this collection…can you tell I’m smitten? All their clothing is handmade to order in England, and you can request trousers to be made longer or shorter than the standard 31″ leg. This top costs £45 and the trousers are £75 – not exactly cheap, but you get what you pay for. Fast fashion this is not! Orders take around two weeks to make but it’s well worth the wait, I promise you!
