Today I’m styling this fabulous recycled rubber statement necklace that Paguro Upcycle kindly sent to me. When the company got in touch on Instagram I was delighted because I adore unusual jewellery! This necklace is made from reclaimed inner tubes so is a vegan alternative to leather.
It’s as light as a feather so would be perfect for taking on holiday. I really wanted the necklace to stand out against my outfit, which is why I chose this mustard co-ord. Keeping the outfit to two colours maximises the impact of the necklace. There are so many fabulous designs on the Paguro Upcycle website – it took me a while to make up my mind which one to choose! I’m so pleased I picked this daisy necklace though. You can read more about Paguro Upcycle here.
I’ve only worn this mustard co-ord once before – that was in August 2018 – with turquoise accessories. (I’ve worn the top a couple of other times though here and here). Although I think of it as a summer outfit, it’s very easy to winterise this co-ord with some thick tights and boots. I actually prefer it with tights because they help to create a smoother line with the clingy skirt and I don’t have to worry about a VPL (visible panty line). This black vest has proved very useful for hiding a VPL on many occasions without adding bulk or heat. It also helps to create a lengthening effect and just makes a really versatile completer piece.
I added the hat because it was threatening to rain and it gives the outfit a slight boho feel. To finish, I kept the rest of my jewellery simple with a black and gold ring and earrings. I bought the earrings with a voucher I won on Instagram a couple of years ago. Póg means kiss in Irish 🙂
