I’ve been staying at my mum’s for almost a week and it’s been so hot and humid, but finally we’ve had rain! It has cleared the air and there’s now a gentle cooling breeze…bliss! I do love warm weather but only when I can drape myself on a sun lounger and sip ice cold drinks. Having to go food shopping or cook meals seems like a huge effort when the temperature is in the 30s. And then there’s entertaining a teenager who wants to eat and shop all the time. I’m just glad I changed my car last year for one with air con!
While we were out grocery shopping we popped into New Look for a browse and I found these trousers reduced to £13. The lightweight fabric is ideal for warm weather and the print is suitably summery. I’ve since discovered that there’s a matching jacket which I’ve found in my size on the website. Naturally, I couldn’t resist ordering it…you know I love a matching set!
My T-shirt and hat pick out the orange in these scarf print trousers, although I could have chosen pink or turquoise too. I love to wear my tiger necklace against orange rather than a contrasting colour. I’m wearing the bracelet I bought in Madeira that’s made from recycled coffee pods. It goes with so many outfits. This fab metallic bag is one of the items I bought with my Instagram win vouchers. It’s from No 1 George Street, where I also got the dress featured in last month’s Style Not Age post. It’s such a useful size and style, I especially love the separate phone compartment. It has a longer, detachable strap too.
