When I bought this Zara black lace skirt in the January sales I wasn’t sure how, when or where I was going to wear it. But despite that, I knew I had to have it all the same. I thought it might feel too unstructured for a night out, but the leather-look lace might be just too dressy for daytime. After sitting in the wardrobe for a couple of months however I decided this is just the sort of versatile piece we all need; it’s just a matter of what you wear with it.
After playing around with different tops and blazers I came up with this outfit. A black base with one patterned item is an easy formula when you’re short on time. Pairing this Zara black lace skirt and Next geometric print jacket together makes it office-appropriate. I chose a neon pink necklace from New Look for a bright accent and ankle boots by House of Harlow to complete the look. For a night out I’d team this skirt with a silky blouse or camisole, clutch bag and strappy sandals. I’m beginning to realise just how versatile this skirt is now!
