Paris is without doubt my favourite city and so when it came to celebrating my birthday (it was a big one!) there was only one place I wanted to go. I’d been unable to do all the touristy things on my previous trips to the city as I’d been there to run the marathon – climbing hundreds of steps the day after had definitely not been an option! Of course you can take the lift up to the second level of the Eiffel Tower (you have to take the lift from there up to the top) but you need to get there early if you don’t want to queue for ages. If like us you arrive around midday on a Saturday in July it will be quicker to take the stairs!
The spectacular views are well worth the burning thigh muscles though!
It was a swelteringly hot day and I was so glad of the breeze at the top….before the long trek back down.
Outfit details: Ben De Lisi for Principles top, Asos trousers, M&S Footglove shoes, Juno satchel. Les Nereides necklace, Asos chain bracelet, handmade beaded bracelets.
After all that walking and climbing stairs it was time to have a well-deserved late lunch and then get ready for a cruise on the Seine followed by a night at the Moulin Rouge!
