Personalised Christmas Gift Ideas + Sunday Reflections link up

With just over five weeks to Christmas (yes, it really is that soon!) it’s time to start thinking about buying gifts for loved ones. Usually, Isobel has a couple of main presents on her wish list, but we always get her a few surprise presents plus some little stocking fillers.

I’m trying my utmost not to mindlessly purchase plastic tat just for the sake of it for several reasons; obviously there’s no escaping the environmental impact of pointless plastic, but our house is pretty much at bursting point now. Any new additions have to be special, useful, beautiful and (although I’m loathe to use the phrase) “spark joy”. That’s why I often favour giving unique, personalised presents. The thought that goes in to selecting and creating personalised Christmas gift ideas makes the recipient feel special.

A cushion for your furry friend

The Personalised Gift Shop has a huge range of presents for every member of the family…including cats! Henry loves cushions, and now he has his very own. That hasn’t stopped him from sitting on all the others and making them hairy though!

Isobel came up with the idea for the text…it sums him up perfectly. If there’s such a thing as reincarnation I want to come back as a cat, they have a charmed life. So if your furry friend loves napping on cushions too (and they all do, right?) why not get them one with their photo on?

Unicorn LED light

Somehow, I managed to keep this unicorn LED light as a surprise. Trying to keep anything from a very inquisitive 10-year-old is almost impossible so I’m quite pleased with myself! As you can see, Isobel LOVES unicorns so she was grinning from ear to ear when I gave her this. (Btw, the photo below is just the tip of the unicorn iceberg!)

The light has hooks on the back so you can hang it on the wall. It looks really cool in the dark, but as that’s really hard to photograph you’ll have to use your imagination. The Personalised Gift Shop has lots of other unicorn-themed gifts, all at reasonable prices.

Sara Miller London Beauty Cracker

Okay so this isn’t, strictly speaking, a personalised gift. However, I do love to have luxury crackers for Christmas Day. Rather than buy a big box of cheap ones that contain useless plastic items, I prefer to purchase one special one per person. The great thing about buying single crackers is you can select one tailored to each family member. And I think it’s lovely to have an extra gift with Christmas lunch 🙂

These Sara Miller London lemur beauty crackers are perfect for ladies who love beautiful things (and let’s face it, who doesn’t?). The packaging is exquisite and simply oozes luxury. I would love this design as wallpaper in my house!

Vegan and cruelty free

Each cracker contains 2 x 30ml hand creams and a 15ml tube of lip gloss. They are certified vegan and cruelty free, so they get a huge thumbs up from me.
