Belt Up! – November’s Style Not Age

The last Monday of the month came around so quickly! For November’s Style Not Age challenge, Jacqui chose the theme of Belt Up! I don’t wear belts much, which is odd given how much I love accessories. When I do wear them, my favourite style is a wide, waist-cinching belt. Well, if I’m going to wear one I might as well make a statement with it!

For this challenge, I considered various outfits, such as this satin wrap dress. But my eyes were drawn to this blazer dress that I’ve had for ages but never worn. When I bought it (at TK Maxx I think) I thought it was a blazer. Actually, it’s a blazer dress (as a quick search on Google confirmed). It’s too short for me to wear without leggings or thick tights though. For it’s debut, I’ve teamed the blazer dress with my faux leather leggings and cinched in the waist with a gold woven belt that I’ve had for years. The gold slouchy boots and ruched handle bag completed the look.

For a more toned down look I’ll wear it with plain thick black tights and my Vivaia stretchy long boots. Maybe without a belt. Lacey, patterned tights with black velvet ankle boots would be a good option too.
