Welcome to the latest Match Made Seven! We are an international group of fashion bloggers who meet once a month. One of us chooses a theme which can be anything – a book, music, a color, a movie – and then we style an outfit based on that theme. This month Anna set the theme of “We’re Allowed Out Out”.
Non-British readers might be wondering why on earth there are two “outs” in the title. Well, it’s a phrase made famous by my favourite comedian Micky Flannagan. Have a look at this YouTube video of the man himself explaining the difference between going out and going out out! Basically, it means getting dressed up, putting on full makeup and probably staying out until the small hours. It’s been a while since I did that! Pubs and restaurants are now opening but I’m not sure I’ll be partying the night away just yet.
When I do next go “out out”, whenever that might be, I may well wear this Kitri wrap dress. I’ve been a fan of this London-based brand for a while now, although I think this is the first piece of theirs I’ve bought. Kitri is not hugely expensive, but not budget either. At full price a dress typically costs around the £150 mark. But you know how I like to sniff out a bargain, and at £10 this dress was certainly that! I bought it on eBay, and I think the reason I got it for such a fantastic price was the missing fabric belt. The seller included this black one as a replacement instead which I think works really well.
Taking my cue from the belt, I chose black shoes and my velvet cat bag to keep the colour palette simple. The dress is quite a loose fit so I could wear it as a light trench coat/duster over jeans and a T-shirt. In the Winter I’ll layer it over a thin roll neck jumper with black tights and boots. I do like to get the most out of my clothes!

Hi Emma!
YOu know I love this rust bronzy color! I have a few dresses in my wardrobe this shade. What a steal you found it for! I should try Ebay more! The color is wonderful with your hair, and it looks lovely with the belt. I really like that phrase, “Time to go out out”.. it will be awhile before I will do that here….

The bargains you find at Ebay! Fantastic color! I’ll bet it wears fabulously. We are not going out out yet either. We’ll perhaps just the two of us in our own garden! Ha ha.
Your dress is a beautiful fabric and the colour suits you perfectly!
Emma, that dress is stunning and perfect for “out out!” Thanks for clarifying exactly what that means! I think I got it but didn’t know about the origins of the saying! Lol!

I have never heard of Kitri before but this dress looks really pretty and I love how you styled it!
What a great dress, Emma! I need to check out eBay. You seem to find some pretty fabulous things there. This is the perfect going out out dress, too. I am not quite ready for the business of going out out either. But I do get a little bit dressed up if I invite a few friends over. Thanks for sharing and linking up.
