It was my turn to set the theme for April’s Style Not Age post, which was prompted by a couple of factors. I was sitting on a bench in the gardens of the Museu Quinta das Cruzes when an email came through reminding me it was my turn to choose. It was a lovely sunny day and “Bring me Sunshine” just popped into my head. The other reason was that in the run up to going away I’d been feeling quite low, and at this point in the holiday I was starting to feel the gloom lift. It felt like the clouds clearing and the sun coming out in my head. If you know, you know.
I’m never without an array of bright and colourful outfits in my suitcase when I go away, but I was glad I’d packed this yellow dress. It’s quite old now (six years according to this post when I wore it in France) but it’s always a good one to throw in the case. The sunny yellow shade is an instant mood booster, especially combined with the rainbow headband and earrings.
I could have opted for my gold crossbody bag (and in hindsight it might have looked better). But instead I went with the orange for a double hit of citrus shades. The rainbow beaded headband added more colour (and disguised the fact that I’d run out of hairspray!). That steered me towards the rainbow drop earrings that I bought from TK Maxx a few months ago. I always take far too many pairs of earrings on holiday!

I can see why you have kept this dress and take it with you on vacay! You are stunning in it! I love all the scenery behind you, too! We have sunshine, but the temperature is still quite cold here.
