What’s new pussycat? If you’ve been following me for a while you’ll know how much I love cats! When Dolly and Dotty asked me if I’d like to review a piece from their website I was instantly drawn to this comic print skirt. Although I don’t wear skirts very often (unless I’m on holiday) I knew I would make an exception for this one. The print couldn’t be more purrfect!
The flared midi length is my preferred style, and the box pleats ensure it hangs nicely. The material is soft and has some stretch to it, like a jersey fabric, which means it doesn’t crease. This cat lover print skirt will work all year round, depending on how I style it. Over autumn and winter I’ll team it with tights, boots and a jumper. During the warmer months and on holiday, I’ll wear it with wedge sandals and a vest top.
Dolly and Dotty is a vintage reproduction brand, specialising in dresses, but they also produce tops, skirts and accessories. (There is also a dress in this cat lover comic print.) If I wanted to create more of a retro look with this skirt I could layer a petticoat underneath it for extra volume. I can imagine wearing a black tulle petticoat with the hem showing. It’s such a fun print and sums me up perfectly…yes, I am a cat CEO managing a team of furry executives!
I’ve added feline accessories with my very old velvet bag, cat ear sunglasses and a lovely necklace with Henry’s face engraved on it. You may remember that Henry died in January, aged 17. I was devastated to lose him and totally bereft without kitty company. We adopted George and Teddy a few weeks later – George is the little photo bomber! They are almost a year old now and still full of energy and mischief!

Oh my goodness, that necklace! What a fabulous idea. Sorry it’s all about the skirt. And it’s a very good one. I love the pop art style and the lenght! The blouse looks great on it too!
Thanks Nancy! I also have a cushion and some socks with Henry’s face on, he was such a lovely boy. George and Teddy are funny, so lively, especially after having an elderly cat. They keep me entertained for sure!
That is one of the most beautiful skirts I have seen in a long time. I love the vintage print, and the stories the skirt tells. You never have to be bored when you’re wearing that skirt. You can read your skirt : )
P.S. I like your puns, like that it’s ‘purrrfect’ ; ))
Thanks Nicole! I just couldn’t resist such a fun print!

Thanks Suzy! I think I’m becoming more obsessed with cats the older I get! I’d have more than two if I could (not sure my marriage would survive though!).
That skirt is the ABSOLUTE best! As a fellow cat Mom, I so approve of it. I hope you have a wonderful Thursday!
Thanks Jennifer! Cats are the best!
How can this skirt not lift your spirits, and the spirits of everyone who sees you in it!? So cute, and such a great collaboration! I love the fun, retro cartoon character design, and bright colors. Also, your kitty themed accessories are purrfect! Thanks for the favorite mention, and for sharing this playful outfit, and hosting the link up. Hope you have a good rest of the week!

Such a charming and lively look! The cat lover print skirt adds a playful yet chic touch, and you’ve styled it beautifully with the utility shirt and sleek boots. The accessories bring the whole outfit together perfectly — especially the velvet cat bag and engraved necklace, such thoughtful details. Love how you balance fun prints with timeless elegance!
A beautifully styled piece that blends personality with effortless fashion. The playful print, balanced silhouette, and thoughtful layering make this look feel both timeless and personal. A perfect example of style worn with confidence and joy.
