It’s the last Monday of the month, which means it’s time for July’s Style Not Age challenge. It fell to Jacqui to set the theme and she chose Festival Fashion. I feel completely out of the festival loop this year as I was away during Glastonbury so I didn’t see any of it. I’ve yet to catch up on iPlayer. To be honest, there weren’t many sets I wanted to see, although I usually discover some new acts by watching the smaller stages. I first saw Viagra Boys at Glastonbury a couple of years ago and they’re now one of my favourite bands. I went to see them in Manchester earlier this year and they were brilliant.
Anyway, for my festival outfit I’ve chosen comfortable bling. I bought this jacket from Beyond Retro in London last year when I went to see AC/DC. This is the first time I’ve worn it. It’s by Azalea Wang, not a brand I’m too familiar with. The denim is soft and super comfortable to wear. It’s a size large, but I like the oversized fit. I’m just not sure what to do with the belt attachments that don’t seem to fasten in any useful way, which is why I’ve left them dangling.
I bought the sequin trousers for Christmas/New Year a couple of years ago, but I don’t think sparkle should be limited to the festive season. They’re stretchy and comfortable, so why not wear them in the summer too? Paired with the trousers, the silver vest creates a column, completed by Adidas trainers for comfort.

What a fun, fabulous outfit, Emma! I’ve always been drawn to silver in clothing but I recently realised it’s not actually the best colour to wear close to my face (bummer) so I’m selling my silver vest that I bought from Zara a couple of years ago. I would totally wear those trousers though, they’re FAB!

A perfect festival outfit. What I noticed, again, that there were a lot of shorts with cowboy boots outfits. I like it better with Hunters, like Kate Moss a lifetime ago.
