Do you remember my outfit from last week? Well this is the same style of cardigan but in a different colour. I couldn’t decide which one I liked the most…so I ordered both! I love the bold pattern and edge to edge style. The knit is a medium weight so it hangs nicely without crumpling. Pockets are always an added bonus too!
I’m wearing my favourite jeans again with this long grey flower cardigan. I absolutely love them and wear them several times a week. They’re so comfortable, unlike a lot of my other pairs, which is why I stopped wearing them for everyday style. And they’re only £45 too! I’m thinking of ordering them in black as well. I would never have considered buying Marks & Spencer jeans until I tried these. They had so many good reviews that my curiosity was piqued…now I can see why!
I’ve picked out the colour of the flowers with my jumper and accessories. The bag was a birthday present from Isobel last year. My orange trainers are a few years old now but still among my favourites.
I’ve been busy getting mum’s bungalow ready for her to move in, we’re almost there! I think we have enough bubble wrap to cover the moon! I’m loathe to throw any away because it’s expensive to buy, and it wouldn’t be environmentally friendly. So I’ll find somewhere to store it and hopefully give it to someone who’s moving or reuse it myself in the future.
I had a check up on my foot yesterday and the surgeon is pleased with my progress. I’m just about able to do lunges again, although my big toe is still a bit stiff. It’s not completely pain free yet but I didn’t expect it to be only two and half months on from surgery. The plan is to have the same surgery on the other foot next summer. We saw Amyl and the Sniffers on Saturday (they were brilliant!) so I was on my feet a lot. We got down the front, and as you can imagine, it got quite lively! Miraculously my foot didn’t get stomped on!
I also have an appointment to see an audiologist following on from a consultation with an ENT specialist. I was hoping for a cochlear implant but I’m not entitled to one on the NHS as my other ear is fine. So, I will see what else can be done. I’ve put up with being deaf in one ear for 25 years but it does limit me. Social situations can be difficult and trying hard to concentrate on what people are saying is taxing after a while. It’s important to advocate for yourself and do everything you can to improve quality of life, especially as we get older. I’m trying to get everything fixed and future-proof myself as much as possible!

I feel the same about these jeans as you do, and I was also looking for black ones! They are so good to wear. I think this colour scheme is even better of the cardigan. I’ll bet the concert gave you energy!
So pleased that your foot is continuing to heal, do give it sufficient time, will be well worth the wait. Love this cardigan today!

I can see why you snapped up that adorable flower cardigan in a different color way-it is so special and fun! A comfortable pair of denim jeans are the best go-to, and completely indispensable. Glad you found yours. Happy to hear your foot is healing nicely. Thanks so much for sharing and posting the link up, hope you have a great rest of the week!
Thanks so much Di!

Thank you Jill!
What a fun cardigan! Glad to hear your foot is on the mend, and I hope you get help with your ear too—I definitely struggle with hearing out of one of mine, and I have a feeling it’s getting worse as I age!

Thanks Cheryl! I hope your hearing is ok. We go for regular sight tests but can go through life never having our hearing checked, which seems odd when you think about it!
Ah yes these jeans are super fun, I can see why like them. And the long cardi is so fun. Just love this look.

Thanks very much Aliie!
I just love that cardigan! It’s so pretty!
Thanks Laura!
You look so 70s cool, Emma! I mean that in all of the good ways as I was a child of the 70s! I love how you brought out all the colors, and those jeans look so much like what I used to wear! I can’t imagine dealing with the world with hearing loss in one ear. I mean, I do deal with that, but I’m not deaf in that ear. I am getting to the point where I think I need to seriously consider going to an audiologist, but pride, you know? I’m glad you’re making such good progress on both your mum’s house and your foot! Thanks so much for the link up!

Thank you Marsha! I have an appointment with an audiologist soon so I’m hoping they can do something for me, but if not, well I’ve managed for this long!
What a fabulous outfit, Emma! I’m loving the colours. I must say I’m quite taken with those jeans. I’ve just checked to see if I can get them here and I can! Although I’ve been so obsessed with Vinted these past few months, I’m not sure I can bring myself to buy something brand new LOL!
Glad to hear your foot is healing well. Shame about you not being able to get the cochlear implant on the NHS though 🙁
Big hugs
Suzy xx
Thanks Suzy! The jeans are so comfortable – I’ve just got them in black too!
