Welcome to the first Style Not Age challenge of the year! We are now a group of four since Gail decided to leave. Gail is still blogging though so you can stay up to date with what she’s doing. Anna chose “Winter Woolies” for our January prompt. (The title made me giggle because my married name is Woolley!) As you might expect for this time of year, I’m in jumpers and cardigans every day lately. Of course, I have my old ones that I wear around the house when I’m just pottering/doing housework. Then I have my nicer ones that I wear for work and going out (although that doesn’t happen very often!).
Cardigans are great substitutes for jackets when you want a more relaxed look. This cardigan works all year round, thanks to its summery strawberry motif, so it’s not just a winter woolly! I bought it on Vinted last year and absolutely love it. I’m convinced it’s hand knitted as it doesn’t have a label. I featured it on the blog back in May with a T-shirt and joggers. To adapt it for the colder weather I’ve layered it over a long sleeve high neck top. It’s soft and loose-fitting but not bulky, so I could easily fit a coat on top. The barrel leg jeans are making their second appearance. After hesitating to jump on the trend for so long I’m now converted! I wanted to mix up the pink and red tones so I finished the outfit with a hot pink quilted bag and chunky Converse.

Anna is wearing a gorgeous fairisle sweater from Vinted teamed with co-ordinating pink trousers and boots. Head over to Anna’s Island Style for all the details.
Jacqui has also chosen a fairisle jumper with a fabulous cable design. You can see more over at Mummabstylish.
Hilda’s cardigan is from the 80s/90s and she hasn’t worn it in 30 years! Now that’s sustainable fashion! She shopped her wardrobe for the rest of the outfit, including wide leg jeans from Cos last year. Visit Over the Hilda to find out more!
