Festival season is in full swing, which gave me the idea for this month’s Style Not Age theme of “Festival Finery”. I wore this exact outfit to our town’s annual festival in June which Isobel’s band opened. It wasn’t a particularly summery evening, so the stretch denim fabric was ideal for keeping me warm later on.
When I found this boilersuit in a charity shop I wasn’t sure if it would fit or suit me, but I felt compelled to buy it. I didn’t even try it on because I rarely use charity shop changing rooms. Luckily it fits perfectly. The only thing I wasn’t sure about was the low V, but layering a black T-shirt underneath solved that problem. The funky graphic print of this one from Soul Sisters fits the festival finery theme, with the gold lip motif matching my gold jewellery.
The chunky Converse are practical but also fun with the zigzag platform soles. (Although I was wearing them when I slipped over in London so they obviously don’t provide much traction!) I’d been looking for some in my size for ages but there were sold out everywhere. I eventually found these on Vinted in perfect condition. I had to add some fun sunglasses…a festival outfit isn’t complete without them for me!

Now, that is the way to attend a festival! I love the way you added the black tee underneath. It really creates a lot of interest! And, those sunglasses are the best! Such a fun style challenge!
