Me and Isobel are back with another “mummy and me” post, and this time we’re wearing jumpsuits! She fell in love with this yellow River Island jumpsuit as soon as she saw it, and persuaded me to order it for her. (I’m such a pushover!) Ever since it arrived she’s been desperate for us to wear our jumpsuits on the blog. It was way too long in the legs, but granny worked her magic and took it up by a good few inches. It’s a perfect match for the yellow boots I bought Isobel for Christmas…anybody would think we’d planned it!
I have probably half a dozen jumpsuits (most sleeveless) but this one is a recent addition to my wardrobe. It’s from one of my newly-discovered brands, Paisie. I’ve bought items by Paisie from Atterley before, but I snagged this jumpsuit – heavily discounted – at Secret Sales. The fit is a little snug around the waist and crotch, and it’s not the easiest to get in and out of. I will need to allow plenty of time for trips to the bathroom when I wear it! The quality is great though; the trousers are lined so they hang nicely.
It does gape at the bust though, so I pinned it, but not very successfully because you can see my nude bra in a couple of shots! I only realised after taking the photos that it came with a navy belt that I completely forgot to wear! I think it would have looked much better with the belt by giving my waistline more definition. You’ll just have to use your imagination!
I thought about wearing trainers with the jumpsuit for a more casual look; but instead I decided on my navy heels and co-ordinating crossbody bag. They pick up on the navy lapel and piping on the sleeves. I added rose quartz jewellery to pick out the soft pink of the flowers in the print.
Isobel raided my stash of sunglasses and picked out these mirrored Skinny Dip shades. She used one of her own bags for a change – I bought her this pineapple one to match mine that I wore with my bright green midi dress. The gold lenses compliment the metallic bag, and the little bit of green adds contrast to the yellow. Now, I’m off to find that belt!

So adorable! Your daughter is so cute!
Emma, these jumpsuits are so great! I love how Isobel has mastered the super serious model glare! She is too cute! I have yet to find a jumpsuit that fits me properly. I finally found some rompers that work, but jumpsuits are still baffling me on my body frame.

Love the brown and the blue mix of your jumpsuit. Your daughter is having a good time with the photoshoots, that is awesome! I can see why she liked the jumpsuit in yellow with the ruffled shoulders and the sunnies you both have are so fun ad fashionable.

This is a delightful post and a wonderful feature – lovely to see Isobel on the blog, she’s really growing into a little model like her mum! Love both the jumpsuits, as you know i’m a big fan of them too, but haven’t bought one in a while. Have just bought a gorgeous dress for my grandson’s christening and simply can’t wait to wear and share it! Thanks for hosting. Jacqui Mummabstylish

Thanks for the feature! What a lovely surprise! It often happens to me that after the shoot I forgot to wear a ring or had a strap hanging out of something. I love that Isobel has such a great style sense! That girl will grow up a woman of her own style!
You two look absolutely adorable in your jumpsuits! I get so excited whenever my daughter wants to do something with me. Who knows how long that will last! Haha!
Emma, you both look super cute in your jumpsuits. I just wish I’d had a girl so I could be a pushover, too! Lol! The picture of her by herself is just adorable!

Your jumpsuit is really cute, Emma – great colours, and I love the contrasting collar (and unseen belt, ha, I’ve done that!) detail. However, a jumpsuit that pulls and gapes would not last long with me!
Isobel looks smashing in her yellow ensemble. Love the pineapple purse! So cute.
Such awesome style & taste you’ve got!
Cheers,
