This wasn’t the outfit I planned on posting today, but I wore it for my weekly after school Costa coffee with Isobel (minus the glasses and jewellery) and loved it so much I decided to go with it! I wore these trousers for this month’s Stylish Monday post, and I wouldn’t usually feature the same item again so soon. However, there’s no shame in re-wearing – in fact we should be encouraging it. If we, as bloggers/influencers, have real influence we should be normalising wearing our clothes over and over instead of contributing to the throwaway mentality of fast fashion. So apologies if you’re bored already of seeing these trousers, but I don’t think I’ll ever go off them!
To freshen things up around here I’ve paired them with a T-shirt that’s been in a drawer with the tag on for several years. I don’t know why I haven’t worn it before because it’s fabulous! Maybe it’s because I don’t wear black much lately, but the sequins are its redeeming feature. I also thought it was appropriate for the new season of Strictly Come Dancing as it says “Dancer” on it. (Isobel asked me why I was wearing it as I’m not a dancer…well it’s never too late to start!) As school run outfits go, leopard print and sequins is a little bit extra, but who wants to be boring? The sun caught the sequins in the car and created a glitterball effect – it was like my own mini disco!
This is the second appearance of these sunglasses from Hollywood Vintage on the blog. I think they compliment the sequin sleeves rather well. The green stones gave me the idea of choosing the green velvet bag instead of a black one. Then, that prompted me to swap my beige satin trainers for the gold and green glittery ones – it all escalated very quickly into a bling-fest! Well, Mondays do need brightening up, don’t you think?

What a great combination Emma, love it, and yes to re-wearing and re-showing things we already have, there’s always different ways to style items. With the new season beginning I’m going to go through my things and have a good old sort out to get some ideas. Thank you for hosting. x
The sunglasses will work so well with all you retro outfits Emma. I really like your E necklace too
I was chuckling at your disco ball in your car comment as I read along. I love the bling, Emma! I’ll bet the ladies were all agog! Thanks so much for the feature–I so appreciate that lovely surprise!

Emma, I’m totally Team Daytime Sequins and you’re so right about normalising the wearing our clothes over and over instead of contributing to the throwaway mentality of fast fashion. This outfit is so cool and fun. Isn’t wonderful how a couple of pieces randomly paired up can result in such a fabulous look?

I often share my daily outfit in my stories and they can of course be the same. We don’t wear our clothes just once right? So why not show it more then once. Better to be a real woman then a fake one. I love the look and although I don’t own any sequins, I do love them!
Love the mix of different textures, Emma. This t-shirt is great, it has this edgy vibe that will work well for various occasions

I love a sequin or two! It’s certainly an adventurous outfit for the school run. Top marks for creativity and sass!
Now this outfit is the sort of crazy I love, Emma!!!! 😉 I love rediscovering things in my wardrobe I’d never really worn and then finding a whole new love for them… I did exactly that this weekend. Pulled some things out of the “to sell” box to wear again – doesn’t exactly help my decluttering efforts however, lol!
Thank you for hosting xx
Loving everything about this outfit! The sequins and the animal print…I could live in this. You look awesome!
Mondays definitely need brightening and you have blinged out this outfit in the best possible way! I love the tee shirt and your sneakers and your sunnies and all of it! Brilliant, my friend.

Such a cool and unique look! I absolutely love those animal print pants!
The sparkle and glitter just shine in this outfit! Love the sunnies and the sparkly top/shoes. You have to smile in this outfit! Those pants do look great on you. I have been buying all my clothes recently on Posh, and agree that it is great to show what we have iin different ways instead of constant consuming.

Ahh, just love the sequins on the sleeves and that dance shirt. My daughter would love it, she is a dancer! And it goes so well with the leopard pants and the elastic waist band looks super cozy!
