On previous holidays my go-to evening outfits have been mostly maxi dresses. They are easy to wear, comfortable and require little thought when it comes to accessories. To cut down on packing I usually take a neutral-coloured bag and sandals, plus a few pieces of jewellery that will work with any outfit. But as I mentioned in last week’s link up post, my holiday wardrobe needed a refresh.
When I got my first jumpsuit last Summer (which I wore lots on this holiday) I was really surprised at how versatile they can be. Although they are a complete outfit, you can so easily change the look of them by adding layers such as a jacket or shirt over the top. In that way they make an ideal day-to-night outfit option. I ordered three Issa jumpsuits from House of Fraser and ended up keeping all of them. With an ever-expanding collection, it’s fair to say that jumpsuits are now my favourite alternative to a maxi dress.
To make this jumpsuit office-appropriate I’d layer a shirt or fitted jacket over it, and team with a pair of elegant heels. It’s quite easy to undo so going to the bathroom certainly isn’t an issue. The fabric quality is excellent; it’s heavy enough to hang nicely without being too thick. I wore this in the evening when the temperature was still around 25c and it was just right. For jewellery I simply added a bangle and pair of tassel earrings. A neutral bag and pair of wedge espadrilles completed the look.

Your jumpsuit is beautiful Emma, such stunning pattern 🙂 Thanks for hosting.
what a lovely jumpsuit. Your pictures are stunning. Don’t forget to hop over to A Labour of Fashion every Thursday to show off your weekly looks.
I think I’ve just found a jumpsuit that actually fits in the right places! I’ve wanted one for ages, but it’s been hard to find for little me. Petite fitting just didn’t sit right.
This is gorgeous Emma and the scenery is the perfect backdrop to show it off.

You look fabulous! Fantastic print and color combination. I am embracing jumpsuits and their versatility more and more. Unfortunately I have such a difficult time finding ones that don’t swallow me whole – the legs are usually as long as my whole body. 🙁
I agree…they are an easy to style piece and work in all kinds of situations, Emma!! This jumpsuit is so lovely—that print is such an eye opener!!

Another radiant post Emma and I love a well fitted jumpsuit!! x
i love this jumpsuit on you Emma, such a beautiful print and the fit is perfect! i have 2 jumpsuits, i have to wear them yet on the blog, and I basically look for cropped legs as I am tall and I don’t want the wedgie factor for them to be too short. What a beautiful place, love the pic of you looking in the mirror. i actually want to add a few maxidresses to my closet as well.

What a unique jumpsuit! The colors are so bright and really make a statement! Jumpsuits are hard for me to find because I am short but have a longer torso. This one looks like it fits you perfect!
This jumpsuit is so pretty on you! So stylish and sophisticated!

That jumpsuit is beyond fabulous! I love the print!
You look so at home in this plush hotel, and the perfect outfit you have chosen to wear. I try to only take away one pieces with me, as it does make it easier to accessories. Jacqui Mummabstylish
I agree that jumpsuits are cool. You looks great in yours. You found the perfect spot to take these photos.
Although the bonus with the maxi dress is no issues when going to the bathroom.

I used to have this odd (inexplicable) aversion to jumpsuits. Fear, even. As I said, it was irrational and without basis but somehow the mere prospect of wearing one scared the hell out of me 🙂 until about three years ago, when I was at my heaviest, I wore one for the very first time. And loved out it hid all my fats GRIN since then, jumpsuits and I? We have bonded. Not as frequently as I would like, but bonded still we are. However, I do not own a single one in prints because, again, that silly fear LOL so I love seeing another woman wear it, saying it loud and proud like you have here, Emma!! xoxo
You are so right. I think jumpsuits are the new maxi dresses. I’ve been looking for one for myself. This one is so cute!!!
Very elegant! I only have one , a simpele black cropped one. I had to get used to a jumpsuit, but they are like you said very easy. And stylish.
This jumpsuit looks gorgeous on you, Emma! The colour combo is fabulous and you look so stylish. XXX
Your jumpsuit is so so cute! I really want to add one to my closet and this one would be perfect! Have a great rest of the week!

You look absolutely gorgeous, Emma! I’ve really gotten into jumpsuits lately – they’re so flattering. My favourite is an absolute pain to go to the toilet in though!

I have such a hard time with jumpsuits because of my freakishly short torso, but this one looks fantastic on you! I love the idea of wearing one on vacation as an alternative to a maxi dress. I’m going to keep looking for the right one!

I’ve never wore a jumpsuit.. It looks gorgeous on you! Makes me what to buy one..
That jumpsuit is gorgeous. Love the neckline. I only have a couple of jumpsuits. So definitely need more. The flowy wide leg versions are my favs, as long as they’re easy to get in and out of!
