It’s often said that the devil is in the detail, but I like to flip that on its head and appreciate the details…especially on clothes. A little design tweak here and there can make a big difference. This Roman Originals navy spot dress is a perfect example of that. The waist tie and fluted hemline elevate the fit and flare style in a most flattering way. The dress hangs beautifully, and it’s the ideal length for me.
I’m a recent convert to fluted and asymmetric hemlines, and I have to say. I’m really liking them now. The bottom part of the dress is double layered so it doesn’t cling to any lumps and bumps. The fabric has some stretch so it’s extremely comfortable, and the ties mean you can adjust the waistline accordingly. I often like to add red accents to a navy and white outfit, and if it ain’t broke, why fix it? This dress is office appropriate, but would also make a lovely garden party or wedding outfit, depending on how you accessorise. It’s the perfect dress to take travelling because it doesn’t crease…that’s a big bonus for me because I detest ironing.
Roman Originals is a fairly new brand to me; I’ve passed a store a couple of times but have never had time to pop in and browse. After they got in touch and offered me a dress to feature, I had a thorough look through the Roman Originals website and was amazed at the fabulous range of dresses. There’s everything from summer/beachwear to more formal dresses, all at a very affordable prices. This dress is also available in an orange leaf print if polka dots aren’t your thing. Me? I love polka dots, especially when they feel this good on.

I love the dress! For me a good summer dress is all about being made of comfortable fabric and not showing bra straps… it is so hard to find something like that, but you’ve done it! I’m crazy about your nail colour too. Thanks for hosting, beautiful. xx
Thank you Lisa! Yes, the dress covers in all the right places and is so comfortable. The orange leaf print is really pretty too for summer.

I am a huge fan of polka dots and believe every woman should own a fit+flare polka dot dress because of how feminine and classic they are. Love this. It is perfect with the red accessories which add to the glam retro vibe. =)

love that spotted dress!!! So cute!!!
It’s truly very flattering, Emma, it makes your body look even more va-va-vroom 🙂 I adore polka dots, they put a smile on my face, but would probably choose something on a slightly smaller scale. And yes, red for the win xoxo or perhaps a contrasting bright print.
The draping and details on this dress are so pretty…I can see why you love it!
