Smart Casual Menswear at Jacamo

After almost seven years of blogging I’m featuring menswear for the first time! It seemed a little bit strange for me to be taking photos of my husband when it’s always been the other way round. He’s a good sport though and was happy to help me review the smart casual menswear at Jacamo.

Relaxed dressing is the norm in Brittany so the range of smart casual menswear at Jacamo is perfect for this kind of holiday.

We decided to take advantage of the beautiful surroundings around my dad’s house on the north coast of Brittany for the photos. The ruins of the old church are just at the end of his field and provided the perfect setting for both outfit photos and fairy treasure hunts with the little one. Denim and chambray shirts are a wardrobe staple for everyone, men and women alike. Interesting details like the floral print section on this short sleeved shirt elevate them beyond a basic utilitarian garment. Who said floral print is just for us ladies? The shirt is a soft cotton fabric, and not too thick. We paired it with some charcoal chinos from the Flintoff by Jacamo range. As well as their own range Jacamo sells lots of big brands, including some with exclusive sizes. These trousers were a little on the big side, but fine with a belt (which was included).

For the second outfit we chose a long sleeved chambray shirt and a pair of tobacco coloured chinos. The subtle print and contrast cuffs make this a versatile shirt which would be appropriate for the office or an evening out. Pete wasn’t convinced about the colour of these trousers to start with but with a little persuasion he agreed to try them. I really like the combination of blue and tobacco – it reminds me of the beach.  Both pairs of chinos have a little bit of stretch so they are very comfortable. The great thing about Jacamo is the range of sizes and lengths of trousers, plus shoes up to a size 15. It’s all at a very affordable price point too without compromising on quality. BTW, in case you were wondering, that’s not a real meerkat in the background!
