I’m sure you know how much I love animal motif jumpers by now. I’ve worn the cute cat and mouse one and my favourite Joules fox jumper on the blog before. My wildlife obsession frequently influences my outfit choices. Well, I simply couldn’t leave the badger out – this much-maligned creature is one of the reasons I became vegan last year. These animal are seriously cute – just have a look at the Mr Lumpy & Friends Facebook page!
Pairing the faux leather pleated skirt and badger jumper creates a chic but fun outfit.
Now the weather is warming up a little I can finally wean myself off turtleneck sweaters. The first signs of Spring are here and I’m craving more colour in my outfits. Everything here is new to the blog. The most recent addition is the skirt from WearAll, an online shop based in the UK. They stock an extensive range of clothing at very affordable prices. I was kindly gifted the skirt, along with a few other items which I’ll be showing you soon. Pairing the faux leather pleated skirt and badger jumper creates a chic but fun outfit.
The stretchy fabric makes it very comfortable; it looks like faux leather but doesn’t feel at all stiff.
The skirt is much stretchier than I anticipated. I sized up to a 12 going by the measurements on the website, but I think I’d have been better with a 10. Sometimes pleated skirts can stick out a bit when the waistband is tight so I aim for a slightly looser fit. The stretchy fabric makes it very comfortable; it looks like faux leather but doesn’t feel at all stiff. In warmer weather I plan on wearing it with sandals and a silk blouse.
To inject a bit more colour I chose these red velvet ankle boots rather than black ones. I bought them in the Mango sale last month, and there are still a few sizes left, marked down to £9.99! I picked out the little bit of blue in the jumper and matched the bag to it – I do like a third accent colour! A cute jumper and skirt has to be one of my favourite outfit combinations. In fact two more gorgeous animal sweaters arrived in the post this morning and another is on its way 🙂
