Flare Hem Skinny Jeans and Leopard Print

Can you believe it’s May already? That must mean warmer weather is just around the corner, right? Well, we live in hope. Even though the temperature has struggled to reach double figures lately, I’m ready to put away the big coats and jumpers. I’ve been opting for lighter coats, including this coffee-coloured one, to mix things up a bit. It doesn’t have any fastenings, just the belt, so it feels like a trench coat. The belt actually sits a little bit too high, almost over the pockets, so I’ll probably wear it without. I may even add a different belt, maybe a black one for contrast.

It’s not yet sandal weather so I teamed the flare hem skinny jeans and leopard print top with a pair of matching court shoes.

I’ve been looking for some new jeans, trying to move away from the usual skinny and boyfriend styles. I’ve tried a few pairs of flare/ruffle hem jeans but none suited me. Then I just happened to be browsing Asos (I say that like it was an accident, but it’s a frequent occurrence) when I spotted these black flare hem jeans.

I bought Isobel a pair of black flare hem leggings recently (and we do like to outfit twin sometimes) so I thought I’d give them a try…and I really like them. They have plenty of stretch so they fit snuggly on the leg, contrasting nicely with the cropped flare. Jeans like this are made for showing off shoes. Alas, it’s not sandal weather yet so I teamed the flare hem skinny jeans and leopard print top with a pair of matching leopard print court shoes.

I chose a bag with some colour to break up the neutrals, along with a red bracelet and a brooch to add some texture.

Lovely jeans, I just recently bought two pairs of cropped jeans, one light denim the other white to fray! I love the look of this wider leg on me, and feel it’s a style that’s popular at the moment. Thanks for hosting the linkup Emma. x Jacqui Mummabstylish

Thanks Jess! It’s funny that you say that because I was thinking of wearing a hat but my husband said not to because the sun was catching my hair nicely. The photographer always knows best! I put some serum on it after I wash it to tame the frizz and make it smooth…it goes a bit wild after I’ve slept on it though!
