It’s hard to believe it’s September already! This Summer has absolutely flown by and tomorrow Isobel starts high school. We’ve spent the morning doing a trial bus run, although I think we’ll drive for the first couple of weeks. We took advantage of the nice weather by going for lunch afterwards, which was lovely apart from the persistent wasps!
I sometimes find it difficult to know what to wear at this time of year because the temperature can fluctuate a lot; it can be hot in the sun but quite cool in the shade. This lemon print midi dress is loose and lightweight, and provides plenty of coverage, making it perfect for late Summer and early Autumn. If I need an extra layer I’ll add a denim jacket and maybe swap the sandals for white trainers.
To emphasis the lemon print I chose a fun lemon bag from Skinny Dip; their designs are really quirky and always make good conversation-starters! I also have peach, pineapple, coconut and watermelon bags…well with my name I’m bound to like fruit! I mentioned in a previous post where I wore some cute cherry earrings that I’d also bought some pearl hoops featuring beaded lemons. My plan was to wear those with this dress…and then I spotted these lemon slice earrings in H&M and I had to buy those too! They seemed a better match for the dress and bag, so I’ll save the others for another outfit.
