cariPRO Electric Toothbrush Review & Giveaway + link up

I’ve been using electric toothbrushes for years, but I’ve never been totally satisfied with them. My old Oral-B toothbrush just wasn’t leaving my teeth feeling completely clean. So when Smile Brilliant invited to me test out the cariPRO electric toothbrush I jumped at the chance as I was curious to see how a different brand compared. (You may remember I tried their teeth whitening system and loved the results).

First impressions

The design of the cariPRO is modern and sleek, with an ergonomic soft-touch grip. The graphite grey colour with silver front panel and blue accents make it look very stylish. It has a U.S plug, but that was no problem for me because I already had an adaptor. You can pick one up from places like Argos for around £5 in the UK. The first thing I noticed when I turned it on was how quiet it is! There’s no chance of disturbing a sleeping family member if you have to get up very early in the morning, as I often do. My old toothbrush sounds like a food blender in comparison!

Features

The cariPRO has five different modes: clean, white, massage, gum care and sensitive. The soft touch button makes it super easy to change modes while you’re brushing. It does tickle slightly, due to the 40,000 vibrations per minute dynamic cleaning action (Isobel tried it and thought it was hilarious!).

The waterproof design means you can use it in the shower (great for those mornings when you’re in a rush). Plus, it has an auto-interval smart timer to remind you to move on to another quadrant after 30 seconds. Where the cariPRO beats my old toothbrush hands down is the battery life. I was lucky to get a week from my previous toothbrush, but the cariPRO has a 30 day battery life…yes 30 DAYS! That means you can charge it up, go on holiday and not have to take the charging dock with you. That’s a game changer for me! Not that the charging dock takes up much space anyway, but it’s good to know you won’t need it.

In terms of results I couldn’t be happier. For the first time in ages my teeth feel really clean after brushing, as in just-back-from-the-dentist clean. The brush head gets right into all the tiny gaps where bits of food can become lodged (yuk!). Also, the head fits really snuggly and securely on the handle, unlike my old toothbrush which vibrated loose and caught my lip in the gap, ouch! Plus, the heads have tongue scrapers on the back, which I think is a really smart feature.

The cariPRO claims to remove 7x more plaque than a manual toothbrush and improve gum health in as little as 2 weeks. I have noticed a definite improvement in my teeth and gums since using it. Next time I will be buying him a cariPRO because I honestly think it’s fantastic value for money.
