Summer may be over but that doesn’t mean the bright colours have to be packed way until next year. In fact autumn is the perfect time of year to wear jewel tones – emerald, ruby, amethyst and sapphire hues all look glorious against autumn foliage. I like to call them “Autumn Brights” 🙂
I already had these trousers in black and navy, and as they have proved to be such useful additions to my wardrobe I decided to buy them in mustard too. Although it’s quite a bold colour I find mustard is rather versatile – it looks great with cobalt but can also be paired with navy, black, brown or grey for a more understated look. I made the most of the September sunshine by wearing a loose silk blouse and sandals. I bought the Reiss blouse on eBay, where I also found it in taupe for an equally bargain price 🙂
These Nine West shoes are really comfortable and don’t slip at the back like a lot of shoes do on me. I added a few homemade beaded bracelets for a bit of extra colour.
Blouse: Reiss (from eBay), trousers: Asos, shoes: Nine West, sunglasses: Ted Baker
great combination
