After a stressful run up to the holiday, it took me a couple of days to properly relax. All the worry of not knowing when mum would be able to leave hospital and one of the cats going missing had me at my wit’s end. Thankfully, Teddy returned after three days, meowing at the bedroom window at midnight, waking my mother-in-law up! Mum is now fit to leave hospital, but we are still waiting for a care package to be arranged. Holidays never seem to go smoothly for us! (Even our wedding in Barbados had to be postponed by a month due to an erupting volcano.)
Anyway, after catching up on some much needed sleep, I feel human again. The best thing about all inclusive holidays is not having to rush, because you can always get food and drink. It’s been 18 months since I last drank alcohol and I’ve no intention of changing that just because it’s plentiful and free (well, technically it’s paid for, but you know what I mean). Being vegan means all the yummy looking cakes are off limits too, so that’s keeping me out of temptation’s way. Honestly, I don’t think I’ve ever eaten so much salad, vegetables and fruit (which does have some less desirable consequences, if you know what I mean!).
I was pleased to finally get to wear this floral print skirt co-ord which I bought last year. It popped up in an ad and I wanted it as soon as I saw it. Unfortunately, my usual size was sold out so I had to order a 12 and the skirt was far too big. Rather than send it back I decided to have it altered, and my local seamstress put some darts in it. It’s still quite loose, but much better than it was.
I was having serious doubts about whether I could wear a cropped top…especially on an all inclusive holiday! Just as well I decided to wear it early on! I’ve never really been a fan of showing my midriff, but that’s probably a lot to do with living in a cool climate. I also bought a lemon print skirt co-ord on Vinted that I brought with me. When I was packing I seemed to have loads of clothes, but when I unpacked and hung them all up, there actually didn’t seem to be that many. I won’t be buying anything here, other than the odd trinket because there are only the shops on the hotel complex. That’s probably a good thing!

Emma, you look fantastic in this co-ord! I don’t think you should ever worry about showing off your midriff…especially on holiday. When will you ever see those people again? I’m glad things have settled down for you a bit. Thanks so much for the feature as well as the new link up!

You look amazing. You totally nailed this outfit. Crop top and all. I’m guessing you’re in Florida? And Freddy would have freaked me out too. II have an indoor cat. We have a large enough house that he has places to go, but I still feel guilty that he’s been bored.
But he gets a lot of kisses!

This outfit is EYE Catching! I love it and all the colors, feminine and stylish! Ah, no cakes, that might be tough. I like my sweets. An all inclusive sounds nice though.
