Summer has returned and I’ve finally put some fake tan on! It’s only the Dove gradual tanner, but the medium to dark version works a treat. Today is Isobel’s last official day at school, although she has a few more exams to sit. After Tuesday she’s finally done and prom is on Thursday. I met her for a coffee at lunchtime after the leavers’ assembly. It doesn’t seem that long ago we were hurrying to get to primary school before the gates closed!
It was far too warm for trousers today so I wore my new green print midi dress for coffee and shopping. It’s a lovely, light fabric, perfect for hot summer days. This is another fab dress to take on holiday. My trusty Fenella Smith vegan leather bag is a great match for it (I’ve also got the orange version). I added some cute lemon beaded earrings to bring out the yellow in the print of the dress.
It’s been a busy week with one thing and another. Mum is back in hospital; what should have been an overnight stay has turned into a week, and at the moment we don’t know when she’ll be able to come home. The hospital is about a 35 minute drive each way, so I’m visiting every day except for when I’m at work.
Isobel’s 16th birthday is just a few weeks away – we’ll be away for the big day. Hopefully we’ll be able to do something special, maybe sandboarding on the dunes. I must remember to pack the presents or I’ll be in trouble!

Oh geez, Isabel 16! I laughed when you said, met for coffee, as it does sound like she was little not long ago. I am so sorry to hear about your mom’s health and I pray for her recovery. It is hard seeing parents get older and sick. You know I love the dress, and I clicked on it, but dont see a link. Trying to buy less and have plenty in my closet. I love the greens on you!!
