Full Skirts – November’s Style Not Age

Full Skirts - November's Style Not Age, Joanna Hope jacquard A-line skirt, River Island bright pink sheer sleeve top, Vivaia black stretch boots

I have to confess that I rarely wear skirts these days (actually, you’ve probably realised that if you’re a regular reader!). This month’s Style Not Age theme of full skirts (chosen by Jacqui) gave me the push I needed to switch things up a bit. I do have lots of skirts, even though I live in trousers.

I’ve had this brocade skirt for about six years and have featured it twice before on the blog (here and here). No matter how I store it, it never creases, which is a major plus. And it has pockets! Previously, I’ve paired the skirt with a dark top, but this time I opted for bright pink. This top was an end of sale bargain a few years ago – reduced to £5 because of a mark, which came out in the wash. I grabbed a hat because Storm Bert hadn’t fully fizzled out and there was still a bit of rain in the air. First snow, then wind and rain, followed by bright sunshine this morning! I’ll take anything but rain!

More full skirts…

Jacqui has teamed an elegant skirt and top from F&F with a jacket from Matalan, shoes from Lotus and bag from Oasis. Hop over to Mummabstylish to find out more.

Hilda borrowed a skirt from local boutique Paula’s, in Malahide, which she’s styled with a lurex jumper and leopard print boots. You can read more at Over the Hilda.

Gail found the skirt, by Apricot, for just £3.25 (with a necklace included!) in a charity shop in Plymouth. Great choice Gail – I have this skirt too! Everything else she shopped from her wardrobe. Catch up with Gail at Is This Mutton.

Anna only had one big skirt to hand for this challenge, but what a beauty it is! Fabulous styling as always! Head over to Anna’s Island Style for all the details.

Do you wear full skirts? Are they a yay or nay for winter? Do let me know what you think in the comments!
