Happy Monday! I hope you all had a great weekend with minimal Christmas shopping stress. I’ve got three new things to share with you today. A sleeveless trench has been on my list of things to buy for months. I’d seen lots of my favourite bloggers wearing them over Spring/Summer and made a mental note-to-self to buy one, but somehow just didn’t get around to it until a few weeks ago. When I saw this one on the SheIn website I thought it would work well with a lot of my work outfits.
A sleeveless coat that isn’t too thick is ideal for layering all year round – it’s an alternative to wearing a jacket for the office, and you can still comfortably fit a slouchy coat over it. Oh, and they make very good bum coverers (so no worrying about that VPL). To keep the colour palette simple without straying into boring territory I wore my new leopard print blouse under it. I spotted the blouse at TK Maxx when I went in to return something. It immediately caught my eye so I just bought it without trying it on. At only £12.99 it was worth a gamble, and although the sleeves are a bit tight for my meaty arms it’s not uncomfortable. I love leopard print so it’s a keeper.
Of course, I had to add a pop of colour and what better way than with this gorgeous Jennifer Hamley Model KT bag? Back in May when I went to the 3040 Blogger Meet in London I had the pleasure of meeting bag designer Jennifer Hamley. Jennifer designed the double award winning Model KT work bag to improve the lives of busy women. Not only is it a very stylish laptop bag, but it has multiple compartments for all your essentials too. The bag has a sunglasses pocket, business card holders, hands-free travel card slot, interior zip pockets, a pouch for chargers, a key clip, an adjustable shoulder strap…and there’s even a shopping bag inside one of the compartments! My favourite feature has to be the zip-off tablet pouch which doubles as a sleek clutch. I just love how easy it is to unzip it for a quick day-to-night transition.
Now I have to confess that I’ve bought, ahem, more than one Model KT. I don’t covet wildly expensive designer bags, but when I find something that’s incredibly useful and beautiful I’m sold. After I bought this one in teal I was lucky enough to snap up a couple of slight factory seconds (although you’d never know because they are still outstanding quality) so I have a little Model KT family now 🙂 No doubt they’ll be popping up on the blog very soon. I’m told if I’m a very good girl (which probably means not spending too much on handbags and shoes) Santa might just bring me a new laptop. To be honest, now I’m the proud owner of not one, but three Model KTs, I don’t really want or need another work bag. You never know, it might even make me more organised 😉
