Green and Pastel Pink + Style With a Smile Link Up

The weather has been lovely today – a high of 21 celsius! I sat outside for about an hour soaking up the sunshine, which unfortunately resulted in a headache…I think it was a shock to the system! Anyway, I don’t think this “fool’s summer” is set to last much longer so I’ll try to enjoy it – maybe with some paracetamol!

This green and pastel pink combination was inspired by the spring blooms, in particular apple blossom which is a favourite of mine

The lighter evenings and blossom on the trees at this time of year always steers me towards wearing pastel hues. Hardly ground breaking I know, but it feels like a milestone to have made it through winter, especially this last one. This green and pastel pink combination was inspired by the spring blooms, in particular apple blossom which is a favourite of mine.

I’ve mentioned before how much I wear these green cords – they just go with so many different colours. The fabric is light enough to wear through until late spring so no doubt you’ll be seeing them again! This pretty mint green top was an impulse buy at TKMaxx before all non essential shops shut again. I’d popped to in to collect an order and spotted in at the end of a rail. At only £15 I thought it was a bargain. Sometimes these kinds of tops are a weird fit – either too bulky, too tight or too short – but this one fits just right. And unlike most of the organza sleeves tops I’ve bought from there it’s not itchy.

I’ve added a rose quartz necklace and ring to match the sugary hues of my bag and coat and delicate blossom earrings. I’ve had this bag for years but now Isobel has her sights set on it – in a few year’s time I probably won’t have anything pink left in my wardrobe because she will have nabbed it all!

I’m now on TikTok!

Changing the subject, I’ve finally caved and downloaded TikTok. I haven’t uploaded anything yet (I haven’t even done an Instagram reel yet!) but I’m trying to get my head around it. If you’re on TikTok give me a follow (I’m @thestylesplash) and I’ll return the favour. And if you have any tips on getting started please let me know!

I’m so glad to be seeing so much green this year. It’s a great neutral that rarely gets its due. Your pairing of it with pink was a fabulous choice for an early Spring ensemble.

This is a lovely combination! I’ve never tried these shades of pink and green together before, although I do like blush and neon pink with olive! 🙂 I don’t have a lot of green in my wardrobe to begin with.

The sleeves on the top are so pretty and fun too 🙂

Hope you are having a good Easter weekend 🙂
