Late Summer Maxi Madness – August’s Style Not Age

Happy Bank Holiday Monday! The last one of the year and also the last Monday in August (and Summer…sob), which means it time for another Style Not Age challenge. Hilda chose this month’s theme of Maxi Madness, which was the perfect opportunity to feature my new Stella Nova dress. It’s from The Bias Cut, and Jacynth kindly sent it to me as a thank you gift for taking part in the “They Say, We Say” campaign. (You can see the video I did here).

This is my first piece by Stella Nova and I’m sure it won’t be my last. I’m so delighted with this dress; the fit is perfect and I adore the print. An unexpected bonus is it doesn’t crease! It’ll be ideal for taking on holidays. It’s a true wrap dress, rather than a faux wrap, so it is adjustable. It feels very secure though, so I don’t have to worry about flashing too mush cleavage!

To allow the dress to take centre stage, I’ve added classic gold jewellery (well, I couldn’t resist a big statement ring) and a simple orange bag. For more of a contrast, I could team it with pink accessories to pick out the pink in the floral print. A tan bag and sandals would work well too for a more muted look. The dress is currently on sale at 50% off, and there are other fabulous bargains in the sale section at The Bias Cut too!
