Happy Tuesday! How are your Christmas preparations going? I’ve bought quite a few presents already but still have a couple more to get. The problem for me is, when I’m looking for presents for other people I see lots of things that I want for myself! With all the sales on at the moment it’s rather tempting too! I had to cave in when I saw this Baum und Pferdgarten leopard print jersey dress heavily reduced at The Outnet. On top of the sale reduction I had a code for an extra 20 per cent off, so it cost less than £30 including shipping.
The fabric is a mid weight jersey with a good amount of stretch. It fits quite snug on the arms but a little loose on the waist and hips, so I added a belt to give my waist more definition. (For size reference I’m wearing a medium). The dress can be worn buttoned up at the neck or worn open and folded over to create a collar (see photos further down). I can’t make my mind up which way I prefer.
To keep the look simple and classic I chose black accessories. I don’t use this Jennifer Hamley vegan leather bag enough (probably because going out has been off the cards this year!) but it works well with this leopard print jersey dress. I found the boots in a charity shop the day before the most recent lockdown began; with the prospect of no charity shop browsing for a month I squeezed in one last hit. It was a very fruitful outing though because I bought another pair of boots, a dress and a jacket! I don’t think these boots had been worn because there were no marks on the soles. I paid just under £5 for them, which I think was a bargain!
My first instinct was to wear my black cat eye sunglasses, but I chose these oversized cream and tortoiseshell shades instead. The colours match the leopard print dress quite well. My Yaa Yaa London druzy ring and pearl embellished cuff finish off the look.

What a fabulous dress, Emma! I really like the snap up collar on it. It gives it a certain edgy vibe. And those sunglasses are really quite magnificent! I am almost done with my Christmas shopping and I miraculously did not purchase anything for myself!

Lovely dress Emma. I wasn’t aware of the “The Outnet”. I’ve just had a peep and there’s some lovely tempting offers on there. I had to quickly resume my Christmas shopping search – I agree, it’s so easy to get distracted. xx
Love your animal print dress! So classic and chic!
Thanks for hosting today!

Very nice dress, love the collar! How lucky you are that you have good second hand shops there. In our village we have none
I am loving this leopard dress on you, sister!

I like the collar both ways Emma. I think a couple more buttons undone would look better though. You’ve found some great items. The sales are very tempting! xx
Love the leoprard print dress Emma!
I like both options of the collar being up or down.
perfectly styled with your booties!
Those boots are a great find–love that soft leather. And the dress is so great for a winter outfit! I agree with you about these darn sales–there is just SO much good stuff to be had, it’s hard to turn it down!! Lol! January and February will have to be “no shopping” months to make up for it!

I love the leopoard print! It never gets old and your outfit is so cute 🙂

What an amazing deal on those boots! They are beautiful and look brand new! They are the perfect match for that fabulous dress!
I have the same problem—I always end up shopping for myself when I’m trying to shop for others! Either way, that leopard-print dress is a great find 🙂

Too good to miss Emma! Love your dress. I have the same problem, I somehow treated myself to a Claudia Bradby pearl necklace while I was gift shopping, but it was reduced….x
It is a lovely dress and I like how you styled it. I haven’t been buying clothes much at all since the pandemic because I don’t see the point if I can’t wear it anywhere. I am tempted by the sales but every time I am about to put it in my cart I ask myself “Where would I ever wear that too?” and then I don’t buy it.
Hello Emma! I’ve been gone for 2.5 months, but so glad to be back. Tons of house projects on the backburner for way too long.
So excited to receive StyleSplash in the inbox again–I had to take a break from anything social media, or I would not paint 4 rooms, build an outdoor pergola, potting bench..and just goes on and on! Oh, and I did not sew or Upcycle!
But wanted to say, love this look! I love anything animal print these days…and I just posted a linky with a similar look with tights and short boots.
Love this leopard print dress on you, and the convertible collar is such a nice detail. Isn’t it a great feeling to find a versatile classic at a bargain price? And those booties were a real thrift shop discovery. I haven’t been able to do any thrifting or retail shop browsing since before the pandemic-online Christmas shopping is just not the same!
Emma! We must have been channeling leopard at the same time this week! Great deal and the buttoned collar at your neckline looks great. I love those kind of details. I know what you mean about Christmas shopping! I start early and then I keep seeing things.. which can be dangerous!

enjoy your week!
Hi, Emma
Your dress is spot on! (no pun intended). I love all the black you added. Your finding for that price is a wonderful bargain. As far as bargains, I did go belt shopping when The RealReal had their version of a Black Friday sale. Take care, Terri
As always, you look so great! I can’t believe that you found those boots at a charity shop! They are too cut!
