Trouser suits and colour contrasts are two of my favourite things when it comes to outfits. I’ve been eyeing up all the gorgeous pastel shades in the shops (mainly River Island and Marks and Spencer) and trying hard to resist. I’ll let you know how that goes! (Spoiler alert: I caved. But more on that in another post.)
Although not pastel hues, I enjoyed putting this outfit together. Lime green and burgundy pair so well together because they are opposites on the colour wheel. That’s how build a lot of my outfits, albeit unintentionally. I usually just hold colours together to see what I like, which more often than not, results in contrasting hues. This is not the first time I’ve paired lime green and burgundy together; a few months ago when I received this fabulous Teddy Blake bag I wore it with a burgundy suit and lime blouse. This time, I’ve inverted the colours, making lime the primary shade, with burgundy the complimentary hue.

That’s a very pretty combination! I wished like green would look good on me. It’s a easy colour to mix with other colours. But with the warm burgundy it is very elegant! Fabulous suit.
Such a great suit, Emma. Love the colour and how you have styled it. Thanks so much for hosting. Today I am sharing a charity shop treasure, a black maxi dress, that looks great with my Irregular Choice statement shoes.
This is a colour combo I never would’ve thought of, but it works!
