Marks and Spencer Faux Fur Coat

When I saw this faux fur coat on the sale rail in Marks and Spencer I was drawn to it like a moth to a flame. It’s not like I don’t already have a faux fur coat or three, but when you see one this gorgeous and it’s reduced to less than £20 it’s just not possible to walk on by. I also had another excuse: I was visiting my mum, who as well as being my shopping partner in crime, also lives in a very old house with no central heating.

To justify my purchase I wore the coat all that evening and I’m glad to say it kept me lovely and warm! You see husband I really did need it! Wearing such a statement coat meant keeping the rest of my outfit fairly simple, so I paired an old See by Chloe black pencil skirt with a grey jumper.

There was no way I was taking my coat off outside on a bitterly cold February day but you can see how I wore it previously on the blog here. I toyed with the idea of wearing plain black sunglasses (although it doesn’t look it in the photos it was quite sunny) but these black and white Ralph Lauren shades are much more fun, and I think they go with the coat rather well!
