Whenever I do outfit photos for the blog it sparks interest from a certain small person, who tries to muscle in on the action. So, after she spied me looking at Sandy a la Mode‘s incredibly cute “Mommy and Me Style” photos Isobel suggested we try doing an outfit post together. As she has a faux leather biker jacket that my niece gave to her (and makes her feel very grown up), that was the starting point. Isobel had free reign to choose what to wear (within reason) and I followed her lead. I was somewhat relieved she didn’t emerge dressed as Tinkerbell or wearing a pirate costume!
The unicorn jumper and leggings are flavour of the month (granny knows what she likes!) so they are getting a lot of wear. Let’s face it – who wouldn’t like a pink sequinned unicorn jumper? I just wish it was available in adult sizes. The nearest thing I had was this red owl motif jumper from a couple of years ago. As if Isobel’s outfit couldn’t get any more unicorn-tastic, her leggings have diamante unicorns on them. You got me there little lady – I’ve got no match for those. Black skinny jeans had to suffice.
One area I can always compete on is footwear, but even here Isobel’s outdone me with the gold chain embellishment. She even poses better than me…I’m starting to suspect a covert blog takeover! Actually, Isobel wants to start her own blog about My Little Pony…but even that has a fashion angle because the plan is to use the colours of the ponies for outfit inspiration. She might be onto a winning idea with that. We may make the Mummy and Me matching outfits a regular feature. Kids can be fickle, so we’ll see how it goes!
Henry watching from the sidelines…these photo shoots are a real family affair!
